#SALI'S_FATHER

I believe that what we become depends on what our fathers teach us at odd moments when they aren't trying to teach us. We are formed by little scraps of wisdom.

I'm so proud of you that it makes me proud of me. I hope you know that. What I really want to tell him is to pick up that baby of his and hold her tight to set the moon on the edge of her crib and to hang her name up in the stars.

That was when the world wasn't so big and I could see everywhere. It was when my father was a hero and not a human.

To be the father of growing daughters is to understand something of what Yeats evokes with his imperishable phrase 'terrible beauty.' Nothing can make one so happily exhilarated or so frightened: it's a solid lesson in the limitations of self to realize that your heart is running around inside someone else's body. It also makes me quite astonishingly calm at the thought of death: I know whom I would die to protect and I also understand that nobody but a lugubrious serf can possibly wish for a father who never stops caring for his little girl. The heart of a father is the masterpiece of nature.

The greatest thing a father can do for his children is to respect the woman that gave birth to his children. It is because of her that you have the greatest treasures in your life. You may have moved on but your children have not. If you can’t be her soulmate then at least be thoughtful. Whom your children love should always be someone that you acknowledge with kindness. Your children notice everything and will follow your example.Fathers never have exactly the daughters they want.

When salifyanji was born I knew she was going to be differentshe was born at 7months but she didn't act like a premature child .being the last born I wanted to invest my love in her she got my mother's name but she was the opposite of my mother .. I would fast for her but it's like God is punishing me for something I didn't do.

This is 20 where did she said she went to" I asked

"She said she went to see Nina " my wife said

"Salifyanji won't kill me " I said

"This girl am tired why don't we take her to my mother's place "she said

"It's a village I can't take her there " I said

"Bashi izu you want to die because of this girl " she asked

"Taking her to your mother's place isn't the solution " I said

I knew where she  was coming from ..my wife's mother was so old she can't take care of herself what more salifyanji ..

 My phone rung

"Yes please " I answered

"Mr siwaleam calling you from isoka police station we have your daughter here with us " he said

"Am on my way " I knew which of my daughter

"Lord what crime have I committed to deserve this kind of child " I cried ..

She let out a loud sob.

I was broken but I didn't want to change my mind ..

I woke up very early being a Saturday I just wanted to take her to nakonde .

"Where is salifyanji" I asked

"In her room " izu said

"Wake her up " I ordered

She came out of her room with her eyes red ..

"Are your things packed " I asked

"I thought it's tomorrow " she said

"Am taking you today am meeting with the headteacher for the school am taking you to" I said

Tears streamed down her face ..

I wasn't going to let her play me one more time.

Around 16 we reached nakonde and I met up with Mr chansa..

We signed all the necessary papers and I took her to her grandmother's house .

She was in tears all this time .

"Mum am leaving" I got up

"Dad please " she begged

"When you change I might come get you " I said
